K9 Bragi 9/6/23-7/23/25
K9 Bragi was the first K9 in the history of Village of Williamsburg Police Department.
He worked alongside Chief Herren during his tenure as a road officer, and later as chief.
During their six years at WPD, they made a significant positive impact on the community
/by demonstrating the impact a K9 presence can make, also assisted other local agencies
often when a K9 was needed, and worked with the Drug Task Force, and DEA
on special assignments, he was a valuable asset not only to our village, but to many agencies and peers.
K9 Bragi went to work every day with enthusiasm, ready to protect and serve his community up until his very last day.
His career was cut short after a very brief battle with cancer; he was just six months from retirement.
K9 Bragi touched many lives during his time here, and people that met him grew to love him just as we did here.
