Williamsburg-Batavia Hike/Bike Trail

The Williamsburg to Batavia Hike/Bike Trail is a collaborative effort between several local agencies.  The entire trail, when completed, will be over 13 miles in length and connect the Villages of Batavia and Williamsburg.  The mixed use trail will share roadways with vehicles for a portion and also utilize roadways that were abandoned during the construction of East Fork State Park.

The trail begins at the end of South Broadway in the Village of Williamsburg then follows Williamsburg-Bantam Road as it makes its way through the East Fork Wildlife Area.  After crossing Kain Run creek via a bridge, the trail winds its way to a scenic overlook along the edge of William Harsha Lake.  From there, the trail makes its way up to the campground area, and connects with the main campground road in East Fork State Park.

Construction on the next phase of the trail has been completed.  Phase III will connect the existing trail to Zagar Road in Batavia Township.

There are several locations throughout the Village to “park and ride” for Hike/Bike Trail visitors:

  • Harmony Hill at 299 S. Third
  • Williamsburg “Old” High School at 549 W Main
  • Community Parking Lot at 285 W. Main
  • Village Offices (Community Center) at 107 W Main
  • Williamsburg Community Park at 150 E Main

Of course, you are always welcome to park in any public on street parking space in addition to the convenient locations listed above.  Enjoy the trail.
